Challenge

Muse, a small digital boutique agency in Amsterdam, wanted to recruit young creatives for an internship. However, most interns seeking for an agency often choose the bigger and more renowned agencies. We needed to find a way to stand out in our search for the brightest creative.

We found a new way to recruit, which would suit this digital-savvy generation. We recruited interns through an existing social game app. We used the DrawSomething app and challenged them to draw one of the given words. Think of it as Pictionary for the digital age. 

After downloading the app, the participants could start playing against people from the agency (mostly me). The participants’ drawings that caught the most attention were then asked to send in their portfolios.

132 People from all over the world applied for the internship via the app. 1 Lucky creative was hired for an internship for 6 months.

We launched the initiative with a short video, explaining the idea and it caught a lot of attention online. The participants followed and we were ready to play a game.
